The project is part of Phase I of the fundraising effort to build a Veterans Park on property adjoining Spring Creek and the Greenways. Stones to honor a loved one may be purchased through the Office of Mayor Tom Rowland. All proceeds will go toward building the passive park, a large bell tower and marble benches to commemorate each branch of military service. The park will be green and is directly off the Greenway trails. Spring Creek has donated the park property as well as the trees that line the parkway and the three entrances.
